Survival Guide for PvP in Warhammer Online...

An excellent find from Xenophyler, this article illustrates key points in being a key team-player in Scenarios, and RvR. A must see for anyone who likes to PvP! (Isn't that why you bought the game anyhow?)...

Rhetorical or not, I'm answerin' it!

So many ways to answer that question.

It could be we actually have, but I'm lousy with names so it's hard to say. I wouldn't be surprised if you saw Geldrion (my Warhammer Online) character spamming away over your Scenario channels giving tactical advice. Usually I log into games as Geldon, Geldonyetich, Geldon Yetichsky, or some other gel-derivative, assuming I'm not feeling more creative in coming up with names (as I did in EQ2 and CoH).

It could be because since I posted this I've had about 500 views, and if some of those people took my advice then now you're playing a bit against me when you play against them. Maybe it's my imagination, but I've notice my healer tends to get targetted a bit more. ;) (Of course, people would probably pick up the same tactics from experience.)

It could be because I've been playing games so long that I pretty much epiphanize the core gamer. There's a little bit of geldonyetich in everybody. (Egads, how vain.)

Or it could just be the ol' "The internet is so big you're bound to run into somebody similar to somebody you know" thingy.

Yes, I should probably start working on that again, eh? ;)

My next entry will probably be on some of the BYOND thoughts I've had lately.

By all means do what you wish. I'm just anxious to try your BYOND game and guess I'll have to muddle through the MMO posts until then.

The way I see it, if I find a good reason to do something - even quit playing a game I was previously enjoying - then it's better now than later. I've never been a proponent of the, "ignorance is bliss" approach.

So hey, let me over-analyze. I like analyzing games, I actually often get a lot more enjoyment out of that than I do the games themselves.

I'm not trolling and you didn't have to write that much to explain that you felt like adding a perspective on the game. I understand. I just hope you don't over-analyze it so much that you'll soon see it's flaws and focus on them, creating a reason to quit playing.

(Sorry about that Baldrake, I do come of as a bit of a reactionary because I'm usually willing to answer a question, no matter how rhetorical. ;) I know Walla from RL, and I know he likes unusually detailed answers to his questions.)
